This high quality scale British SAS Jeep model from Tamiya is perfect for all model enthusiasts. This kit contains a ready to assemble, 1:35 scale model. Once assembled, it makes a highly accurate replica model of a British Special Air Service Jeep military vehicle with a combat crew of two. The Special Air Service unit was organized in 1941 by young British officer David Stirling and showed activity in the desert of North Africa. The only one mission of the SAS was to weaken the enemy by infiltrating deep through enemy lines and harassing the rear. It was the Jeep that the SAS used as their main means of transport. Although inferior to the Chevrolet Truck in loading capacity, the Jeep with superior cross country ability was best suited for the mission of the SAS. This SAS Jeep model can be made using different types of equipment, either with heavy equipment for long distance operations or a choice of two types of light equipment for short distance operations. Most of the equipment that was used by the SAS is contained. Like all models, the attention to detail of this kit is amazing. Modelling skills are helpful if under 10 years of age. Not a toy. Warning choking hazard, contains small parts. Cement and paint not included.
